Mangaka: Eiichiro Oda Title: The Mato Mato Curse Rating: 6/10
Synopsis: Picking up from where it left off last week, Luffy and Princess Shirahoshi are seen leaving the palace via Megalo (the princess’ pet shark) by Brook and one of the palace guards/courtiers whose name I can’t be bothered to remember. Their attention shifts from Luffy and the princess to the human pirates who were thrown like cannon balls against the palace walls. Somehow, some of them are still alive o.O They plead with the palace guard to tell them the location of the switch which opens and closes the connecting corridor that ties Fishman Island to Ryuuguu palace. If they are unable to carry out this task, Hodi Jones and Vander Decken will have their little human heads. They’ll probably end up killing them either way…poor lil’ cretins. We are then carried to Sanji and Chopper after another (possibly) awesome one-sided fight. Oda-sama why must you tease us so? We’ll continue to be patient ^_^ The fights in this Fishman Arc better be ridiculously ossm…. The two hear a woman’s scream for help and they are shocked to see Hachi battered and bleeding, AGAIN. I’m tired of seeing this guy covered in blood….I like him though, he’s nice. Ah, just had a random, disturbing thought…how could he, an octopus Fishman, make takoyaki??! lool Where/who does he get them from? (He made takoyaki for Luffy and company in the past) Do you know what takoyaki is? 😐
Anyway, he begs Sanji to leave Fishman Island, saying that it will be destroyed and that they should not get involved etc etc. However, we all know his pitiful supplications will go to waste, muahaha! 😀 They will aaall end up fighting (with mind blowing epic-ness….we hope), people will end up dying, and we’ll be sitting at home going “yeeeessss!!!” and then we’ll yell at MangaStream to bring out the next chapter ASAP! (don’t do the latter though, it’s annoying :|) Moving right along, we are then taken back in time to see the ghetto pimp, Vander Decken address Hodi Jones’ followers. He calls on one of the followers at random to demonstrate his eeevil powas. Hachi, who was there at the time, intervenes and warns them that Vander Decken will destroy their bodies. They all continue to talk forever with this one saying this and that one saying that. We all know what happens to Hachi at the end of that conversation. Arrows all up in that…!! The chapter then goes forward in time and King Neptune and company continue to freak out after hearing that their beloved princess was kidnapped. Meanwhile, Luffy and his princess (pssh) continue to travel into the direction of a grave in the Sea Forest (well, I assume that’s where they’re going…) HOWEVER! Little do they know that two very important people are there….
Best Character: Vander Decken – not a bad antagonist. I’ve started hating him…which is actually a good thing. Stupid retard lol. He seems heartless and twisted enough…. I can’t get over his extra-retarded get up. I’m interested in seeing him fight though.
Worst Character (s): Hachi…he was so pitiful and dumb… fool of a Took! Also, I wanted Hodi or Hordy or whatever his name is to shut up….
Likes: Nothing in particular. I found the chapter rather boring 😐 I agree with mu§e’s opinion. I had to force myself to read every word. They weren’t saying anything super important…and that was a bit of a drag…to me at least.
Dislikes: Slowness, lack of humour, too much talking. However I’m not complaining….not really. One Piece can’t be fast paced and epic every week now can it? I suppose talking and explaining stuff are important….sometimes. Patience is a freaking virtue 🙂

mu§e: 7/10 – Too much talking about boring things. I shouldn’t really say boring things but basically things we already knew for the most part. Also, it felt like if he was trying to cram too much into the chapter like too much detail. I’m not sure why he’s rushing it. But yah -_- And I don’t like Van Decken or Hodi. Plus that princess is beginning to annoy me…but at least we’re getting around to the main thing with the appearance of….
iHeart: My Hubby! I miss him sooo much. How can you not love him? He’s very smart, well spoken, hooott, independent, he gives you that dangerously sexy look which translates: I hate you, but at the same time he has a humane/benevolent side aaand he’s the strongest swordsman…and he’s mine. I’m sure that swordsmanship isn’t the only thing he’s extremely skilled at, kukuku. That pink haired ghost girl better watch her little crazy self… Mihawk-sama! Daisuki! ♥
