Mangaka: Matsuena Syun Title: Why Is He Dead? Rating: 7.5/10
Synopsis: Our hearts continue to palpitate with this week’s release of Kenichi. Why? Because The God Fist, Akira Hongo continues to question Kenichi about his fallen student with a dangerously sexy glint in his piercing eyes ❤ Kenichi feels a terrifying aura from him fueled by powerful, raging and burning emotions that are carefully concealed (<- Kenichi figured him out quite easily imo). Miu, who cannot help but blush, decides to confess but is interrupted by Kenichi who lies through his teeth. It so happens that Akira-super-sexy-sama is omniscient and after telling Kenichi how poor he is at lying he shares his opinion on how and why Kanou Shou died. His assumptions are spot on and he reveals that he should have driven out the softness inside of Kanou Shou (that way he would not have been crazy about Miu).
Kenichi boldly informs Akira-sama that Kanou Shou was a really incredible individual and that his last actions as a fighter was not an indication of being too soft which would lead to making mistakes. As Miu tries to satisfy her curiosity about Kanou Shou and the Kuremisago, Shigure and Apachai flash to the scene with an epic bang and they try to attack my honey bun, Akira-sama, who gracefully evades their every strike! (Soo awesome!) When Akira-sama realises who his attackers are he…..(lol read the chapter) Shigure blushes!!! OMG! So anyway, after that, Akira-sama leaves a terrifying message with Kenichi and as he departs, Miu tries to go after him (who wouldn’t want to go after him :O) HowEVER, someone even MORE powerful decides to join the party….
Likes: The God Fist is hard and cold on the outside but on the inside he is in desperate need of a seraph to hug him and tell him everything’s going to be okay XD He seems like a very sensible and benevolent kind of guy but at the same time he’s super dangerous. He’s exactly my type *sigh* I appreciate the fact that he cares about his disciples and I’m happy he didn’t try to obliterate Kenichi and Miu. Also, I realize that he is not one to take advantage of people. He’s the nicest villain I have ever come across in a manga.
I hate sexy villains who turn psycho and start screaming like a bimbo in labor. The God Fist has exceeded my expectations and I would gladly drag him to the altar but then that would be polygamy. Not cool. Moving on to saner waters, this chapter was pretty cool. I was completely engrossed in this chapter and even got a bit nervous when Akira-sama started staring at Kenichi and Miu like a hawk. The comic relief was also appreciated. Apachai and Shigure are so silly! lol
Dislikes: The artwork is getting on my nerves. Also, even though there was a little action here and a few laughs there it seems like Kenichi is going around in circles. However, it looks like Miu will be getting her answers in the next chapter. It’s time to pick up the pace a bit. Forgetting to read Kenichi for the past few weeks is not a good sign. Thank God for the God Fist 😛
More Chapter Ratings:
mu§e: 7.5/10 – Good chapter. I’m loving the intensity of God Fist-sama. Shigure and Apachai came in cleeaaann…granted at the wrong moment. lol. Glad that the Elder is finally gonna sit down and tell us what the hell is going on. This has been too long in coming.
Random Hot Topic: Was Shigure just being silly or do you think there could be a teensy weensy possibility that she might actually have a soft spot for him now? Meeting him must be a nice relief for her considering she lives with Ma Kensei (he’s like Ero Sennin x 100) I have accomplished the impossible! I have found a PG-13 picutre of Shigure-san! Woohoo! 🙂
She will kill you. Consider yourself warned…
