Mangaka: Masashi Kishimoto Title: Madara’s Strategy Rating: 7/10
Synopsis: The random ninja is turned down by Sakura. Neji comes into Sakura’s tent and pats her shoulder in comfort (because of the drama with the spy). Wait, pats her shoulder in comfort? 😐 – ding ding ding! C’mon Sakura. Itachi and Pain decide to take their argument to higher heights [over which of them has prettier eyes] by entertaining the idea of a staring contest. We then have a scene switch to where the REAL Neji is completely incapacitated. He can barely move. Quick, this is Tenten’s only chance to…. Hinata is on the battlefield working extra hard to protect Naruto. Failure is not an option <3.
Then, we’re back in Sakura’s tent where she decides to test Neji. She tells him that Shizune is working on Tonton [which is Tsunade’s pet pig] and his response tells Sakura that he believes Tonton is an actual person. However, he reaches into his ninja pouch for a weapon and moves to strike Sakura but then! BOOM!! The furniture breaks and the earth beneath their feet cracks up! This could only mean one thing: Sakura is awesome again! The person who impersonated Neji is actually! (Read the chapter) It is reported to Shikamaru’s old man that their men are being assassinated by others who are probably being controlled by illusions or whatever. Meanwhile, Naruto and Killer Bee are stopped by two insanely strong and scary individuals. How will Naruto get to the battlefield now? Hinata is waiting patiently…
Likes: Sakura has always been smart. After that epic fight with Chiyoba-sama against Sasori, Sakura has lost some of cool points. In this chapter, she surprises us all with some quick thinking and skull-cracking pwnage. Neji is so cold hearted that I can’t imagine him actually patting Sakura’s shoulder in comfort. Tenten-san has her work cut out for her XD. Anyway, Sakura gets 5 cool points for this chapter. A semi-important villain is down. That’s a good development right? *shrug*
Dislikes: I’m hoping that the plot will move a little faster with less focus on side stories and in-depth battle details and more focus on the big picture: Naruto himself. I have to remind myself that Sasuke still exists and that Naruto has yet to settle things with him. Naruto and Bee now have to deal with two really strong people and I suppose that will delay the inevitable even more 😐 More talking, more arguing, more crap…*sigh* OH!! When people like Tsunade and Sakura PUNCH people, the whole friggin’ EARTH opens up but the faces of the people they punch are totally fine…what the hell is up with that? I wasn’t aware of an automatic chakra defense mechanism thingy that could keep their faces in tact 😐 Someone please explain….
More Chapter Ratings:
mu§e’s Random Rant Time: 6.5/10 – “Weird chapter :|. But 1) I knew it wasn’t Neji. 2) Sakura impressed me in this chapter with her little move right there. Usually she’s so useless. It’s sad really cuz she has some good character potential but Kishi-chan just seems hell bent on making me hate her. 3) Last page was the weirdest of the lot. I mean…How did we get around to Tsunade’s chest? When there wasn’t even any clue of Bee looking there? Looks like if it’s gonna be an interesting fight THOUGH it’s stupid if they keep on using resources and powerful people to try and beat Naruto and Bee and then…they end up helpless against the real enemies :S. And I thought Ninjas were supposed to be smart when it came to tactics and strategy. **sigh**. Naruto disappoints me.
One of my biggest disappointments in Naruto is lack of response to Hinata’s confession. I waited 10 million chapters (or that what it feels like) for Kishi to make a move on that particular thing and FINALLY, FINALLY Hinata worked up the balls/courage to confess to Naruto WHILE, I might add, risking her ass to save his sorry little behind and we get NOTHING. Another 10 million chapters later STILL nothing. I mean, let’s get real. Sakura did her “confession” that was a total bloody irritating LIE and Naruto responds to that IMMEDIATELY…within the same chapter if I remember correctly. And yet, we have all this bloody build up with the whole HiNaru thing and I still can’t even get a hint of an end. UGH it pisses me off.
And now they’re trying to tease and tantalize me with this chapter with Hinata being all cute and saying “This war is for Naruto-kun. We will DEFINITELY win!” and I still get NOTHING. It’s like if Naruto FORGOT about the big L word that came past her cute lips. Really, Kishi? Like, honestly? So help me god, if you finsih this stupid little war and I don’t get my HiNaru on, I am going to hunt you down and MAKE you draw it.
I’m not asking for a kiss or even a verbal answer or even for them to officially get together (actually, Yes, that’s exactly what I’m asking for) BUT!!! I could settle for some hints. A glance, a thought, a smile, reddened cheeks, give me SOMETHING to work with here! My heart can’t take it. So yeah, think about finishing this war, much less this manga without getting on that romance branch that you left GAPING open with thorns and bushes growing over and leaves cluttering the path, see where that’s gonna get you. And no, this isn’t a threat…or is it? Buahahahhaa! That is all.
Random Hot Topic: (lol! @ mu§e…*smh*) Just how cool is this photo? Doesn’t the guy on the left remind you a bit of Kenshin? I hope we get to see Kakashi-sama without his mask…
