Mangaka: Masashi Kishimoto Title: The Secret Story of the Strongest Tag-Team !! Rating: 😐
Synopsis: The secret story of the strongest tag team. What was so secret and fateful about it? I dunno. What happened in the chapter? *re-reads* Um……male bonding/brotherhood something or the other. Oh, and Bee grows up and becomes the next Jinchuuriki. They meet Minato. Bee says the F word for the trillionth time. Minato is nice so he gives the brothers some food for thought. The End. I am in awe.
Likes: Nothing grabbed me whatsoever in this chapter, that’s if you exclude Minato’s sexy splendour which is a mere (but relieving) factoid.
Dislikes: I tried to give this chapter the benefit of the doubt but it succeeded in being absolutely pointless. Why was an entire chapter dedicated to the Raikage and his brother’s past (which turned out to be inconsequential rubbish) at such a pivotal point in the manga? Sometimes flashbacks are good, other times they’re not. Fine. However, don’t put my Minato-sama in pointless filler flashbacks.

mu§e: 4/10 *Snoooooooooree* *jolts awake* Oh wait! Did something of consequence happen? Of course not -_-. Why am I so nice? *sigh*
Random Cogitations: Shouldn’t there be a distinction between shounen and seinen manga? If so, why do these fan translators insist on using so many expletives in manga like Naruto when there is a specific target audience? More profanity = cooler comic? 😐 It’s all well and good to say shut up/stop complaining or buy the manga but why should scanlators deliberately use tons of swear words when it’s not necessary (IF) that’s what they are really doing? If what they translate is the equivalent of what the mangaka intends to convey then fine… I suppose it’s not that big of a deal and no one really cares… On another random note, I used to wish I had super strong powers like Tsunade when I was younger (I’m still rather young 🙂 ). This other chick (Terumii or whoever she is) looks pretty good actually. Masashi pulled a serious new character overload on us when he introduced her in the manga (with all the kage drama and new shinobi dudes) soooo I can’t say I remember anything about her.
It would have been nice if we had seen Tsunade fight at full strength. Her battle against Orochimaru was really good/epic etc but she had not been fighting for a while and she had hemophobia. Despite all that she still managed to beat the shit out of Orochimaru. Good for him. Freak. I still don’t understand why people’s heads don’t fall off or are flattened when Tsunade or Sakura punch them. One more thing, in my humble opinion, Kabuto had one of the best/funniest lines in Naruto when he met Tsunade: She’s stong! And scary… I bet she’s single… (Episode 89? I think…)
