Mangaka: Eiichiro Oda Title: An Ex Shichibukai Stands In The Way Rating: 6/10
Synopsis: So, Luffy and Jinbei actually get into a fight (I is annoyed yes…). Jinbei lets Luffy have a taste of his fishman karate and it sends him toppling but the the Straw Hat captain wastes no time in countering with, Jet Stamp!!! the power of which (I have been starving for something like this) temporarily mollified my vexation at this pointless delay. Nico Robin appears like a ninja with her eyes closed for cool effect and positions herself between the bellicose idiots whose fists are raised to deliver some face smashin’….The foot-firing, libertine-wannabe (Sanji of course) becomes twitterpated at the sight of Robin and dives towards her with puckered lips and open arms. Robin then FLASH STEPS outta there and the three men all end up hurting each other. Some funny facial expressions upon impact right thurr.
They argue about wreaking havoc in Fishman Island and then we have have a scene switch where Hordy Jones plans to leave the palace for a while and explains to his men that the Ryuugyuu Palace is fortified enough to prevent the invasion of any enemy. Meanwhile, we get a glimpse of the havoc that is already being wreaked (Jinbei you baka) by Hordy’s savage and psychotic fishmen. The water continues to rise and Zorro, Usopp and Brook are still locked in a cage. The latter manages to bring out his spiritual side (literally) and chases a terrified Pappug (the little starfish) in an attempt to get Zorro’s sh*t, I mean, his sword. Yeah.
Likes: RRRROOBIN-CHWWWAAAAN!! And that bit where Luffy, Jinbei and Sanji all get punched. Zorro saying: I’ll cut it all clean open was simply Zorro-esque (which is always a cool/funny thing) but I think that example is stretching things a bit but whatev.
Dislikes: Hordy has gone to god knows where, Jinbei bores us with his redundancy (we get it already, Fishman Island is one screwed up place that needs some peace) and is still in the forest with Luffy and company. No progress was made at all in this chapter. One Piece is loaded with filler type chapters so I shouldn’t be too surprised or disappointed. I dislike Jinbei. Not because he’s stalling the action (well that’s partly the reason) but the other reason is….I dunno. He’s like a repetitive scolding parent. How annoying is that? I see no way out of the hostilities with Hordy and his gang apart from resorting to violence. If Jinbei finds another way then power to him.

mu§e: 6.5/10 – 😐 I don’t know what’s going on. Half of that chapter was just like ‘wtf’ to me. Unnecessary shit. Robin’s epic presence at the beginning of the chapter was the best (and funniest) part. **sigh** Let’s go Oda, you can do better….
Random Hot Topic: Laugh. Out. Loud.
