Mangaka: Tamura Ryuuhei Title: Let’s Infiltrate the Akumano School Rating: 7/10
Synopsis: Yup! We shall start reviewing Beelzebub from this week forth. Rejoice ye foolish mortals!
Moving right along…lol. The guys are standing in front of what should’ve been their new school, except it’s not…it is the fabled Akumano School (Furuichi’s expression when he realises this = lmfao.) They decide to bust into the school to check it out, partially irritated because it should’ve been theirs. The decor of the school grounds is a tad tasteless, all the statues etc etc are of Lord En. Reactions to this are amusing. They finally enter the actual building and are even more impressed by the size of everything (it’s really more of a castle than a school). Anyway, they suddenly realise that there are more people with them than what they originally started with 😐 (lol…how do you just realise that?). Demons appear! A little altercation starts, with of course the humans (i.e. those on Oga’s side) being extremely overpowered. Pillar Agiel totally pwns two guys flicking them in their faces which tosses them outside of the school INTO a concrete wall where the heads are buried and then completely goes into blood lust mode and moves to kill Nene (oh no! NENE!!!) who had managed to “capture” her briefly. Just when we thought that we had lost Nene, Aoi comes smashing down epicly, saving her. But wait! She is not alone. Koma (that annoying, little, demon thing) is with her…except…READ THE CHAPTER TO FIND OUT!!!!! (pretty epic)
Likes: Fairly good chapter. “Quiet” in a sense, as far as Beelzebub goes, a lot of talking, not so much rampaging, but good. I enjoyed the humour in this chapter. I also enjoyed Pillar Agiel completely making everyone her bitch, especially since she has this unassuming, perky personality. I also really appreciated Aoi’s epic entrance AND Tama’s new look. GAHHHH. The next chapter should be soo crazy if Tamura-sensei plays his cards right. I look forward to it.
Dislikes: Not much to dislike. I mean, it’s obviously one of those lead in chapters, so I don’t really expect anything epic yet, but it was a nicely done lead in. Maybe a tad bit too much talking but they were exploring a school and trying to figure shit out, so I let it slide…as long as next week is ridiculously awesome :p
More Chapter Ratings:
§eraph: 7/10- A very tame chapter. I was surprised Furuichi didn’t die of blood loss when he saw that scantily clad bespectacled lady-demon. Looking forward to Aoi-chan’s fight!
Random Rant Time: Why is Aoi such a badass? I mean seriously. I love her. Granted, she’s not as badass as she has the potential to be, but she still brings it pretty hard. I’m looking forward to this battle so much it’s ridiculous. I think she and Oga should hurry up and hook up and have some epic, badass, insane babies together. It’ll be the cutest. thing. EVER.
Don’t know what the fudge I’m talking about? Well, normally I’d tell you to go stab yourself in the stomach, for you have shamed your household. However, I won’t do that today. Instead, you should go and start reading this manga…NOW. Seriously, you are guaranteed to love it.
