Mangaka: Tamura Ryuuhei Title: The Raiding Party vs. Agiel!! Rating: 7.5/10
Synopsis: Aoi and super-saiyan Koma face off against Pillar Agiel. They talk a little bit about Koma’s newfound epicness and Pillar O’Donnell explains to Agiel what Koma really is….then Agiel tells O’Donnell that the prey is hers to destroy (not really, but that’s how I interpreted the psycho bloodlust). Anyway, Aoi tells Agiel she should leave, because the school is theirs. Then they find out it wasn’t just the few demons there that were it, the demon army or whatever intend to transport ALL of their people to the school 😐 (hot damn)
Around this time we make a scene switch back to where Oga and the others are (or rather this weird back and forth thing that actually worked out pretty well). We discover that the creepy old guy that was looking for Oga is actually Behemoth as well. Aoi tells Furuichi and Nene to get everyone out of the building, saying she’d hold them off while still demanding Agiel to tell her the reason for building such a school. Blah blah blah, more talking and staring down and then finally Agiel throws the first punch (or stabs the first sword really). Fighting starts with Koma throwing in a paw here and there to aid Aoi. Then Aoi gives the most epic glare and says Koma’s name as they decide to do “that” (there’s always a “that” lol) and totally pwns Agiel…or well, more like Agiel’s clothes. Lol. Likes: The battle wasn’t bad at all you know. There was some good detail and it was pretty easy to follow, (I just love watching the pwnage in Beelzebub). Also, Aoi was amazing as usual with that hilariously awesome final move and Koma was just plain funny. The whole huge realization that they’re gonna have a demon war with the school was interesting, but something I’m sure we all already knew soo…yeaahhh….
Dislikes: The fight took a bit long to build up :S. I didn’t really feel like all the talking was necessary. Hopefully next week will show us something more epic. It’s a pity I started reviewing Beelzebub when it’s running a bit slow…but don’t worry! I assure you it’ll pick up in a jiffy!
More Chapter Ratings:
§eraph: 7.5/10 – Whoa, Aoi surprised me in the end. Not sure I like the name of that technique though. Her perverted sidekick needs a kick lol. So things are getting really heated now at Akumano High. This chapter provided a decent set up for epic battles in the near future. A bit random since last week’s chapter, with all the new characters popping outta nowhere, but interesting all the same.
Random Rant Time: Sooo, I’m going to be the one to say it. Aside from paw-swiping here and there, and powering Aoi up majorly, what’s the point of Koma? I mean…I kinda want him to get seriously into the fighting you know? Tear some shit up. Also is his name TAma or KOma, because quite frankly I’m not sure at this point and am confused as heeeellll. Let me know if you know. At any rate, cheers to Koma/Tama for making Aoi even more of a badass. (P.S. I don’t like how Aoi looks in this picture, but it’s not about her, so I’ll suck it up and post anyway :\)
