Mangaka: Tamura Ryuuhei Title: General of the Army Rating: 7.5/10
Synopsis: So, the group that started running, cued by Aoi meets up with some mysterious, demon looking attackers…a whole horde of them. However, they turn out to be weaklings, so the group takes them easily. The only problem really is that they seem endless in their manpower. Anyway, upon further inspection they realise the attackers are actually students from their schools who are being controlled by Lord En, who finally makes an appearance once more.
SCENE SWITCH! Back to where Oga is confronting Behemoth about his identity. However, Behemoth tells us that he’s not the General of the Army and that he’s basically retired?! Suddenly, out of nowhere this GIGANTIC monster appears out of nowhere?! Turns out to be Jabberwock, Behemoth’s son and current General of the squad along with being a complete badass. Hilda charges up to attack but Jabberwock sets his dragon, Sodom on her and Hilda is now captured. Oga gets pissed off and tries to go after them but his guidance people hold him back :|. However, being Oga, of course that doesn’t stop him, the next thing we know he’s on the back of the dragon, threatening Jabberwock in his normal Oga fashion. What will happen next?! *dun dun duuuuunn!!!*
Likes: Jabberwock’s appearance just freaked the living crap out of me. He literally appeared out of nowhere and he is seriously enormous. I don’t know how Oga managed to look at him without crapping his pants. It was so awesome! He seriously got this chapter the extra .5. Also, Hilda’s capture and Oga’s extreme anger/trying to get her back was also cool. I still don’t know how he managed to get on the back of that humongous “pet” of a dragon 😐
Dislikes: I can’t complain, even though I was not particularly impressed. It was a very decent “building” chapter. Because we are building up to something, there’s not a lot to comment on, however, as we learn from other manga, which shall not be mentioned, the building up toward the actual moment can be very, VERY boring and just darned awful. Not the case with Beelzebub. I was intrigued to say the least. I’m just hoping next week is as epic as I anticipate. Also…can I just say it? I don’t like Lord En

§eraph: 7.5/10 – Another decent chapter. Interesting from start to finish. We have Baby Beel’s brother (and his friend …je§ter?) AND Behemoth to thank for that. Do I think Jabberwock is hot? I’m not too sure as yet. Not sure…he’s definitely something special. It’s getting juicy! Never fear Hilda-chwaaan! Next week will be here soon.
Random Rant Time: I’m not sure what I think of Jabberwock…and since I can’t find any nice fan art of him. I’ll just say that. Hilda-chan…please be your usual badass self and bust a hole in that dragon’s mouth and let yourself out. We all know you can do it. And, as sweet as it is that Oga wants to be the hero, you can at least get yourself out and bitch slap Jabberwock (though I wouldn’t recommend it given his size) for locking you in that disgusting stomach. I’m sure Sodom’s breath stinks 😐 Then slap Oga for taking so long to save you 😛 (what can I say? We women are confusing beings) and then make him do THAT (reference picture below) and call you Mistress.
